Scheduling Information

Phones open at 8:00 am, Monday through Saturday.
Appointments are available starting at 9:00 am.
NO WALK INS ... but we do offer same day sick appointments!
Later appointments are available most days for ADD visits to minimize disruption of the patient (and parent) school and work schedules.
College age students followed by Dr. Abbott for ADD are given priority status when scheduling ADD visits during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break, especially if they attend a school outside of the metro area. Please let us know if you have a scheduling problem, and we will make every attempt to accommodate you!
Saturdays are reserved for sick visits. These appointments are available 9:30 am to Noon. These are not booked ahead of time.
Sundays are reserved for Emergencies only!  (Determined by the On Call physician)

There is a $25 charge for missed Well Check Ups or ADD appointments if we are not provided with 24 hour notice of cancellation.  This applies even if we do not provide a courtesy reminder call ahead of time!  Obviously exceptions can be made in the case of emergencies, particularly if you can provide documentation of such.

FYI: Dr. Abbott's day off is still Wed, Dr. Lanning's is Tues or Thurs.

Finally! I thought I was going to have to do my own check up!!!!

NEW PATIENTS
(No children in the family have seen either Dr. Lanning or Dr. Abbott in the past for medical care)

We will need complete records to be available at the time of your first appointment, earlier if at all possible! You can bring them with you, or drop them off beforehand.

If you have been referred specifically to us for AD/HD or another mental health / behavioral issue, we would appreciate having records of any previous testing or evaluations prior to your appointment for review. This will help us to help your child more efficiently. Consider sending us an e-mail summarizing the situation if you are unable to get records in time for your appointment with us.

 ****NOTE: We are general pediatricians,
not  psychiatrists,  so if you are bringing your child for a mental health issue, you still will need to transfer their care to us completely. If you wish to remain with your current pediatrician, we would recommend that you get a referral to a child psychiatrist instead. (This is both for insurance purposes and to make certain that continuity in your child's care plan is maintained!)

  FOR EVERYONE

Our Phone number is 245-7337 [PEDS].     Fax is 245-7663. Lines open at 8 am.

Please request your child's records to be transferred to us. You can use our form, or fill out one provided at the office from which you plan to transfer.  FYI: All offices have up to 30 days to do this, so we recommend doing this as soon as possible.

Eventually we will be using Electronic Medical records, and hope to have more services available via email in the near future.  We appreciate both your patience and continued support as we transition to the "paperless" world!
